This place is AMAZING. I am so thankful they are in downtown Crystal Lake. We have tried about 8 of their pies and they are all so delicious and high class. My favorites have been the chicken pot pie and banana cream pie. Their crust is incredible and all the flavors in the pies are delicious. I highly recommend! Support small business🤍
Staff is great, the chicken pot pie is even better! Tired something new to me the italian beef croissant, out this world taste! The beef is baked into the croissant! Must get in on the menu!
OMG - the best chicken pot pie I’ve ever had! I am not generally a fan of pie pastry, but their’s is fantastic! It has a spice baked into it that’s delicious and it is flaky and a perfect vessel for the creamy chicken filling.
This place was incredible! I wish I lived closer - and I would consider relocating to Crystal Lake if it meant I can come here often. I got the croque monsieur and unsweeted butterfly mint tea. It was a delightful lunch and finished my sandwich very fast! I had to then make another purchase because I needed more of their delicious food in my life! I then took the Indian chicken curry pie home for dinner. It came with instructions how to heat it up at home… and it was perfect. The ladies at the counter were so helpful and kind when I asked for suggestions too!
Bought 2 chicken pot pies for my husband and I at the shops in Huntley. The were wonderful! So flavorful! Best chicken pot pie we have ever had! Now I have to go back for the cherry and chocolate pies!!!!
Pots and Pies is seriously one of our favorite little spots in town 🤍 My son, fiancé and I love coming here. The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming and the homemade dessert options are always unique and absolutely delicious. You can truly taste the quality and love put into everything they make. Such a special local gem!

The space is cozy and welcoming, the staff was friendly, and the pastry case made choosing just one thing almost impossible. Everything looked fresh, beautiful, and thoughtfully made. I stopped in for a treat and immediately wanted to order half the menu. The hand pies, brownies, and baked goods all looked incredible, and the whole experience felt warm, relaxed, and special. If you’re in Crystal Lake, Pots & Pies is absolutely worth a stop. Just be prepared to stare at the pastry case for a while.
